Theme Requirements
You need to have the GD library for PHP installed in order for TimThumb to be able to work. Most web hosts already provide this or are able to install it if you request it.
If TimThumb isn’t working for you, you may need your hosting company to update mod_security settings and/or ‘whitelist’ this script (required for HostGator accounts).

Installing the Elegant Real Estate Theme
It is highly suggested that you activate the theme on a clean Wordpress installation. Though you will not experience any trouble if you activate the theme on an existing Wordpress driven website, it will be much easier if you set everything up from scratch:
Checklist:
- Place your elegant-real-estate folder into the wp-content/themes folder of your wordpress install.
- Under the theme-assets/php folder, chmod the cache folder to 777. (this is required for image resizing)
- Go to your Wordpress Admin and activate your theme. Once you activate your theme, you will see the new Theme Editor section on bottom left side of the control panel sidebar, this is where you going to configure the Elegant Real Estate Theme
Configuring the Elegant Real Estate Theme
After the theme activation, please create your categories, pages and posts first, before going to the Theme Editor panel. There's no need to post a lot of entries right away, you just need some content for the template to display correctly.

Readymade contact form usage
- You just need to paste this shortcode
"[contact-form]"without quotes on any post entries or pages that you want to have a working contact form in it. - The wordpress admin email is the default recipient of the contact form
- The admin email is the default recipient of the contact form, if you want to change the default email, you just simply add the email that you want on the shortcode, follow the format below
How can I change the email confirmation message
Open up theme-assets/php/contact-processor.php and locate this block of code
- Change the text inside the <h3> tag for the title of the confirmation message
- Change the text inside the <p> tag for the message body
Additional Explanation/Instructions for Elegant Real Estate Usage
- You should not include a blog category or a blog post on the search listing, because the listing search is relying on the data you input like price, number of rooms and baths etc, hence the blog entries will not be displayed on the search listing results.
- Please do not create duplicate parent categories.

- Yes. Your license includes the rights to use the template on any one website at a time. If you'd like to use the template as part of a service, please consider purchasing an Extended License.

- Feel free to make any modifications you need to the theme. Also feel free to blog about it and show your friends, but please do not redistribute the theme with your changes.

Troubleshooting
- Thumbnails and images in the "Featured" slider are broken
- Ensure the theme-assets/php/cache folder is chmod'ed to 777. You can do this with most ftp clients. If you've done this and you are getting WordPress 404 pages when trying to load the image, you may need your hosting company to update mod_security settings and/or 'whitelist' the TimThumb script (this is required for HostGator accounts).
